How many guests can come on board

The boat has a capacity for 40 people. On our excursions we do not usually take more than 35, so that there is room for everyone to sit and move around, and for a wedding or a post-wedding party that margin matters even more, because people dance and circulate. If your guest list is longer than that, tell us before you set the date and we will look at how to organise it.

A half day, a full day, or just the party afterwards

You can hire Lady Virginia for as many hours as you need, from a half day to a full day. Couples use the boat in two very different ways. Some celebrate the ceremony itself on board, with the decoration and the master of ceremonies organised beforehand. Others keep the ceremony on land and use the boat the day after, for the post-wedding party with the guests who stayed on the island, which is a much more relaxed way of saying goodbye to everyone.

Where we sail from

We set sail from the Port of Sant Antoni de Portmany, on the west coast of Ibiza, where we have our ticket office. We will confirm the meeting point and the exact time when we close the details of the celebration. Put that time on the invitation rather than the departure time: with a large group, one latecomer holds up the whole celebration.

Catering, decoration and the professionals you need

Catering and an open bar are both available, and for a wedding they are usually the first thing we plan together. On our regular excursions the bar includes water, soft drinks, beer, white wine, sangria and cava, with cold Spanish tapas such as Spanish omelette, fuet, cheese, olives, snacks and fruit, which gives you a starting point to build on. We can also take care of the decoration on board and give you the facilities to find a master of ceremonies, a DJ or any other professional you may need. Tell us about allergies and dietary requirements while we are planning, so that they can be taken into account.

What your guests can do during the day

A wedding on a boat is not only the ceremony and the toast. When we anchor, your guests can swim, snorkel and discover the marine life, or get on a paddle surf board and explore the coast. There is a bathroom on board and a qualified crew looking after the boat throughout the celebration, so that you and your guests only have to enjoy the day.

What happens if the weather changes

The wind on the west coast of Ibiza is not in our hands, and on a wedding day that is the question everybody asks. If conditions do not allow the planned route, we look for an alternative so that the celebration still goes ahead: a more sheltered stretch of coast, a different anchorage or an adjusted schedule. The captain decides the course on the day, with the comfort and safety of your guests as the first priority.
